British International Helicopters

British International Helicopters are proud to operate the longest running scheduled helicopter service from the mainland UK to the Isles of Scilly.

Operating from a number of locations worldwide, British International Helicopters has a longstanding relationship with the Ministry of Defence (MOD). This relationship has seen the company offer helicopter support to the Falkland Island Garrison and Flag Officer Sea Training and Joint Maritime Courses in Plymouth and off the west coast of Scotland.

BIH headquarters in Sherborne, Dorest currently employ over 160 staff across the UK and further afield.

British International Helicopters are certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standard and hold the JAR145 maintenance approval. They undertake their own maintenance of their fleet of 6 Sikorsky S-61 helicopters as well as providing maintenance and training services to other service operators.

Penzance Heliport is conveniently situated to the East of Penzance alongside the main A30 road, and is less than a mile from the Bus Station. These days Cornwall is no longer the long haul it used to be. The introduction of new roads has made the journey quicker and easier, making a Cornish or Isles of Scilly holiday much more accessible with less time spent travelling.

Penzance Heliport is conveniently situated to the East of Penzance less than a mile from the Train Station. A shuttle bus service leaves Penzance Railway Station for the Heliport 45 minutes prior to each scheduled departure.
