The best road in the world?

Planning the route to Mongolia is a long and arduous task - picking the most efficient route through 17 countries, aiming to give us the best chance of arriving at our destination safe and sound. Well, just arriving would be good enough. Spending hours zoomed into Google Earth/Maps, aiming to find a road that leads you from one ex-Soviet country to another, is enough to slightly take the sparkle and glamour from the Mongol Rally.

But, when you do discover the fact that you'll be heading along roads such as the one below, you perk right back up and once again count down the minutes till launch.

Jeremy Clarkson once called it "The Greatest Road In The World". Introducing...
