As you know, to give us a good chance of succeeding, we need to take a lot of stuff with us on the rally. But when you consider that everything, including 3 chaps, must fit inside a Citroen Saxo - then we've got issues.
The Islanders have spent quite a long time investigating ways of giving us more space - mainly roof racks and roof boxes. Not only was it a question of capacity, but also security - driving through the wilds of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset meant we could bump into all sorts... and ensuring that our precious goods stay ours.
Mont Blanc have come to the rescue! Founded in 1947, Mont Blanc has developed into a leading manufacturer of roof rails, boxes and cycle racks, and are known throughout the world for their quality products. They've read our proposal - and they love the Mongol Rally, and the money we're raising for such good causes.
Mont Blanc are sponsoring us in the form of a Vista 320L roofbox, 401N roof bars and the K01 fitting kit. The Islanders would like to thank them for their support, and pics will be uploaded when the box is fitted in the next few days!
