31 sunrises to go..

Another day has gone - we're now exactly 4 weeks until we leave the protective bubble that is the Island of Tresco, and go forthwith into the great unknown. Well, Cornwall onwards. I must remember to book our place on the boat - the three islanders, and also Pete the Saxo. Being somewhat of an overweight passenger, the Isles of Steamship Group usually need to know in advance. I'll do that tomorrow.

An interesting fact for you - this website, since it's launch at the beginning of the year, has had over 18,000 visitors. And those visitors have looked at nearly 100,000 pages. That's incredible! And we haven't even started! If you do read this mindless drivel that we spout on a now daily basis, please do add us to your favourites. Hell, go as far and make this your home page!

Some excellent news on the horizon - it looks like we have found a sponsor for a CB Radio! This essential piece of 70s technology (although modernised with the addition of blue LEDs) will allow us to keep in touch with our fellow Mongol Rally'ers. We've been told that we should expect to get between 5-7 miles range on an average day. Enough to convoy with conversation! And most likely call for help when needs be. Hopefully we'll have full confirmation tomorrow and we'll shout the name of our new sponsor from the rooftops.

We have our immunisations on Thursday. Something I (James) am most particularly not looking forward to. A boat ride to St Mary's hospital, and we'll line up like good boys and let then... the nurse... will attack us... with those foot long needles... NOT looking forward to that day.
