    The Islanders have been accepted

    On the 10th September 2010, Drucey & Mackey sent a grovelling email to The Adventurists, begging them for a place on the Mongol Rally 2010. We'd missed the regular allocation of places, and put together the most pleading collection of compliments and praises you'd ever seen.

     It worked. But 1 hour later, we recieved a reply, offering us a place on the Mongol Rally 2010.

    They say two's company - three's a crowd. Which is exactly what we were after, and thought about who to offer the coveted 3rd seat to. We both agreed in quick succession that there was one person who should be given first refusal - Will...

    But, as expected, Will offered no hesitations. Describing the Rally to him, he immediately signed up. No faltering, wavering or dawdling (despite the official warning:

    Your chance of dying can be very high, some past teams have been seriously injured. These adventures are not a glorified holiday. They are an adventure and so by their very nature extremely risky. You really are on your own. If it all goes wrong, that's it, tough.

    And so, The Islanders were born...
