But how?

The Mongol Rally isn't about comfort and it doesn't have a great deal to do with style; what it is about adventure and challenge.

So the 1.2 litre rule was born. What's the point of setting out on an adventure if the end result is a foregone conclusion? In this light what's the point of the Mongol Rally if you could do it in a Land Rover? The only hurdle you would face would be remembering to fill the petrol tank.

We are currently sourcing our vehicle to undertake this challenge – which, should we accomplish the epic journey, will then be auctioned off and donated to the National Mongolian Orphanage.

The Islanders will be taking action to make this a CARBON NEUTRAL challenge. We have calculated that we will produce approximately 6 TONS of Carbon Dioxide – and will plant the required number of trees to offset this. Full pictures will be available on the website.
